The puppies have all been placed in wonderful new homes!

 

We have a litter that was born on March 21, 2014 in the Philadelphia area. Cammie is the mom and Sting is the dad. The pups are less than one day old in the above photo. They will stay with mom and littermates for 9 weeks, and they should be ready for new homes just before Memorial Day weekend.

 

This is a fabulous litter. Both parents are health-tested, have wonderful temperaments, and come from championship lines. Sting and Cammie have diverse pedigrees with very little inbreeding, so the puppies will have an extremely low COI of 1.73, (10 generation, calculated by poodlepedigree.com). Some of the puppies are expected to be show quality, and they are all expected to be beautiful, healthy pups that will make wonderful family pets.

 

Size: Both parents are small standard poodles. Cammie is 21.5 inches and 34 pounds. Sting is 23 inches and 40 pounds. Both grandmothers of this litter are small like Cammie, but both grandfathers are average-sized standard poodles, a bit bigger than Sting. We expect that most of the puppies will develop into adult poodles that weigh between 35 and 45 pounds, but we cannot guarantee adult size.

 

Color: Sting is silver. Cammie is cream. We have 4 cream/white puppies (3 boys and a girl) and one black girl. The black girl will clear to become blue or silver as an adult (blue is dark gray and silver is a lighter gray). The cream/white puppies are expected to lighten as they get older and as adults, they may be cream like Cammie or white.

 

Cammie is proving to be a wonderful mom. She is raising her puppies in her home, the place where she feels safe and secure. They will get a great start in life with lots of love, regular handling and exposure to all of the sights, smells and sounds of home life. The puppies will be socialized with other dogs and with humans of all ages. They will be groomed at least twice before going to their new homes and they will be started on house-training. Puppies sold as pets will have limited AKC registration, and are not to be used for breeding.
